Saphalamee yathra - Poem by NN Kakkad

This is one of the best poems i have ever heard in Malayalam.
Poet,  NN Kakkad narrates the life while he was undergoing his cancer treatment. Thanks to Manorama music for rendering the song in a melodious way. ( Credit goes to Jaison Nair and G Venugopal..)

German election 2009

I had always wondered how the election process in other countries look like when i was in India.

In India, the election process is a mammoth exercise. Not only because the number of people who attend

in it is a big number, but the overall arrangements, leaflets, advertisements, speeches etc itself will

make a huge impact in the day to day life of every common man who is in India at that time.

Now comes Germany. Compared to India, the German election was very smooth, no sound, not much campaigning etc...

By this, don’t assume that there is no good democratic process in Germany. It is very well happening here....
This year , for example, It took place by and large a good polling. 71% of the public polled this time which is
one of the worst polling after the second world war. In India the average rate stands in between 60-65 even though
in my native state, Kerala, it will go as high as 80-85% sometimes....

What I don’t understand in Germany was the lack of general discussion among the people about its leaders
or the different political parties. Neither there is a big interest in the day to day issues nor they are
overwhelmed of any of the political activities. Some of my colleagues are not even bothered, but some
have really made up their mind regarding their likes and dislikes. I think there is a big belief , which is a very
common understanding among most of the people here, that basically a political affinity is only a
personal activity.

Of course in India it is much different. Not only because India is the biggest democratic country in the world, but in general
people, are very much into the process by campaigning for their respective parties and leaders. But this overwhelming
approach is clearly vacant in the common man in Germany.

May be the Indian society also has to make less noise and execute their franchise in a smooth manner. But , in a spectrum of
neighboring countries, which are ruled by dictators and religious monopolies, one cannot rule out the necessity to
make enough noise so that world know that, here is a country with 1.1 billion people who safeguard the democracy,
in spite of all odds...
Yes, I am proud to be an Indian and I am proud to note that Germany also go in the same path in almost same manner.
Can we still nurture the one world concept through these elections ? no idea... Time only can tell it....

Dr. Gopalakrishnan - 24th SEPTEMBER 2009

THURSDAY MESSAGE, 24th SEPTEMBER 2009 (SERIES 176)

Siksha granthas: There are 18 siksha granthas of which few are now available. They are Sounka Siksha written by Maharshi Sounaka, Narayana Siksha, Naaradeeya Siksha, Saakataayana Siksha, Panineeya siksha . The ten sruthes are udaata, anudaattha, swaritha, repha, hraswa, pracheya, anunaasikaa, kampa, deergha kampa and plutha. All the books give how the veda mantras are to be chanted in the specific tones, as you might have heard the chanting of Vedas.

SERIOUS INFORMATION
Many of the Sanskrit words, Hindu ways of worship, idols, Vedic quoting, and many similar practices of Hindu dharma are being utilized by Christians missionaries for converting Hindus to Christianity.

SCIENTIFIC & TECHNOLOGICAL HERITAGE OF INDIA
Susrutha has mentioned more than 108 yanthras and sastras for conducting surgery which in olden days was known as salya chikitsa. Majority of the modern surgical tools ( not instruments) are the same as what Maharshi susrutha has mentioned in Susrutha samhitha.

WHAT I HEARD AND SAW
Majority of the Television channels are now at a competition for telecasting the Hindu puranaas, discourses, animation pictures. It appears as though a reversion is taking place everywhere towards our heritage.

THIS WEEK MESSAGE
(repetition) With full devotion, sincerity, dedication, sacrifice, icchasakti, jnaana sakti and kriyaasakti MARKET Hindu dharma to Hindus /non Hindus /atheists /Indians or non Indians .

A LINE OF GUIDANCE
Perform Durghashtami ayudhapooja , Mahanavami pusthaka pooja and vijaya dasami vidyaarambha wherever you are. Give the messages of these poojas to one and all. The pooja method is given in iish website.. perform pooja to your vehicle/computer/tools /instruments on durgashtami day. And all your books on mahanavami day without fail

PAINFUL HISTORY OF INDIA
We think only about ourselves, our family, my and mine. But we pray lokaa samasthaa sukhino bhavanthu. Many a times the prayer and practice are diametrically opposite.

SCIENTIFIC SUPERSTITION
We think the more the doctors and hospitals the more developed our society is and the more healthy we are .Unfortunately the truth is that the less the need and use of doctors and hospitals, the healthier the society is.

A LINE ON ACHARA.
Wash your face, hands and legs before entering into the house after walking in the streets as the washing the face can freshen you as the face skin is very sensitive. Washing the hands keeps them clean for taking food hygienically. Washing the legs give cooling effect to brain and eyes.

YOUR QUESTIONS AND MY ANSWERS:
You have told that Sanaathana dharma should be marketed . Is it right ? I told one and all with all devotion and bhakti market Hindu dharma, because everything in the modern world is marketed and the word marketing is the only word which communicates the message of spreading the dharma. Whomsoever can market his product he/they can achieve the goal. Or they/he can survive on the globe earth.
Is there anything called bad time or good time for anyone? Yes for everyone good time and bad time are there, sometimes we come to know that sometimes we ignore that. But it is there for one and all.

What is the aim of life? Living happily and making others life happy in a positive way.

Dr.Gopalakrishnan - THURSDAY MESSAGE, 17.SEP.2009

INDIAN LITERATURE:
Yajurveda has two major recensions / branches Sukla yajurveda ( which include Kaanwa samhita and Maadhyandina samhita each having 40 chapters with minor variations only) and Krishna yajurveda having many recensions. Sukla yajurveda has only Veda mantra as hymns in poetical style but in Krishna yajurveda both poem and prose exist. When all the recensions/ branches of yajurveda are put together, it is known as yajurveda vruksha the total number will be 101 ( few say it is 108) many of these recensions are not available now / lost for ever.

Following are the quotations from Vishnu Dharma Saastra written 2500 years ago which were the basic principles/ rules /laws or this country.

Rules and violation connected with contract jobs
154. If a contract work has not been completed within the specified time and the contractor leaves, the contractor should give the loss to the owner and 155. 100 pana fine to the government. 156. If the workers of the contractor damages the property of the owner, the contactor / worker should give the equivalent amount 157. If , due to ignorance or health problem, the damage or loss occurred for the owner the above rule is not applicable. 158. If the worker is not given the work till the specified period, the owner is expected to give the salary for the remaining period also. 159. The owner should remit 100 pana as fine too for not employing for the sufficient period, after promising. 160. If the whole things happen due to the misbehavior or fault of the worker, none of the above rule is applicable.

Punishment for grabbing government land
168. Those who are grabbing the government property , or the property given by the king for charitable work, should be sentenced to deport from the country 169. Those who are violating the rules connected with protecting the government property should also be given the same punishment. 170. If the national property or the public property are damaged the same punishment should be given 171. If deposited or security materials are stolen, the cost of the materials/ the deposit with interest should be calculated as penalty 172. Even if the rules connected with the deposits/ banking are not followed and the deposit is given based on the mutual trust, these rules are applicable.
173. If the boundary wall or the fences are damaged, the fine with reconstruction cost should be levied from the person. 174. Those give poisonous drinks, or spoiled food items should also be treated as above. 175. Sales of any poisonous drinks, or foods, and burglary of the houses or temples, also call for the same penalty with higher intensity.
Punishment for insulting government workers
176. If the high positioned government employees or workers are ill treated by the public severe punishment should be given. 177. If medium officers were ill treated medium punishment should be given. 178. If carelessly behaves towards the government servants minor punishment should be given. 179. If given as donation or sold , it is like sold for ever and one cannot argue for getting them back and if by force grabbed back, it is a punishable crime by law.

SERIOUS INFORMATION
Let us do our level best to popularize Sanaathana dharma through all popular means. Most painful experience is that Hindu dharma is targeted by other religion for conversion using all the crooked pathways.

WHAT I HEARD AND SAW
I saw in Australia hundreds of people are working with full devotion and dedication for our dharma. But the unfortunate observation is that none to give the scientific message on our dharma. Lack of jnaana sakti is the limitations.

THIS WEEK MESSAGE
Let each one of us with full devotion, dedication, love and affection MARKET our Sanaathana dharma using all the modern techniques.

A LINE OF GUIDANCE
Let 90% of the Indians just try to know what the scientific Hindu / Sanaathana dharma is. Let 7 % go deeper and let 3 % become thorough in learning and teaching Hindu dharma with a scientific spirit.

PAINFUL HISTORY OF INDIA
Conversion is going on everywhere in the far east countries particularly focusing the Hindus and the prime center of the conversions activity is THE KERALA CHRISTIANS ( they convert others even by violating the rules of those countries)

SCIENTIFIC SUPERSTITION
Meditation is not merely sitting and breathing . it is a level which should be attained by a series and serious training. Abhyaaasa vairaaghybhyaam thannirodha. Through detachment and continuous training only one can reach the level of meditation. Sa tu deergha kaala nairantharya satkaaraa seivitaa dhrudda bhoomi which is the abhyaasa.

A LINE ON ACHARA
Chant a mantra and listen mantra for ten mins which will take your mind to a highly positive altitude

YOUR QUESTIONS AND MY ANSWERS
Why you talk and write against the (former) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S R Reddy ? The only one chief minister in India did ( as he expired I use the past tense) everything to convert Andhra Pradesh to full Christian state bluntly in day light violating all the foundations of Indian culture and secularism. I am against his activities and not against him. He has Christianized the whole Tirumala temple too.

A bold step from Mr. Yediyurappa..

It is a great step indeed. Mr. Yediyurappa, Karnataka CM has taken the
bold initiative to unveil the statue of Tiruvalluvar in Blore 2 days back.
As you can see it was blocked because of the petty reasons of the ruling class
for the last 18 years... Now Mr. Karunanidhi was invited and both of them
together unveiled the statue, eventhough there were some minor protests.

As a malayalee, I think my state has a lot to learn from these things.
Since Malayalam is a language which is derived from Sanskrit and Tamil,
Kerala has so much close relationship with Tamil Nadu... But in Kerala,
we can see that no one want to care about Tamil nadu or its people in
any point of time. They just know how to bash them...
1. Kerala never teaches Tamil in any of the schools, eventhough Malayalam
was derived mainly from the old Tamil.
2. Irrespective of innumerable Rivers, Kerala depends Tamil Nadu for water
in case monsoon fails.
3. Depends heavily on Tamil Nadu for vegetables and other products eventhough
Kerala has a lot of producive land for agriculture.

Eventhough linguistic fundamentalism is there in TamilNadu, Kerala has got
so much dependence with Tamil Nadu. It is high time for the state to respect
the tamil people and their culture, so that internally it is they themself is
being honoured...
Mr. Yediyurappa shows the real path. I hope it will bring new bridges in the
decades old rivalry between the two states over cauvery issues...

INDIAN LITERATURE: Learning Veda mantras is not easy. One should start learning bye heart from childhood with ten sruthies with patience. Later on it is the choice of the student to go deep into various aspects of Vedas, if he likes. But chanting Veda mantra should be done with udaatta, anudaatta, swarita, repha, hraswa, pracheya, anunaasika, kampa, deergha kampa and pluta srutiees. Since learning is not easy for common men, it is advised that everyone need not chant /study Vedas.

SERIOUS INFORMATION: Every airlines touching India shows the slum dog millionaire movie. I happened to see it on the way to US, I found that this movie is seriously denigrating & tarnishing India.

ANCIENT INDIAN MANAGEMENT MESSAGES: VIDUROPADESA: “……People should stand united so that nothing can defeat them. They can also prosper through unity. Scholars, cattle, family members, children, women, supporter, and protector of good cause also should never fight each other nor destroy each other . ……… “Hey Drutha Raastra Maharajan! Let you be healthy ! Let you become prosperous, let you not suffer from poverty and illness,” (said Vidura )

SCIENTIFIC & TECHNOLOGICAL HERITAGE OF INDIA: composition of Delhi iron pillar ( which was in olden days known as Vishnu stambha) Carbon 0.28%, Silicon 0.026%, Phosphorous 0.18%, Copper 0.006%, Manganese , Nickel, Nitrogen, and Sulphur traces….. remaining iron . This iron pillar has not yet rusted and that is the marvelous iron technology of India existed for the last 2000 years.

WHAT I HEARD AND SAW : Majority of the Malayalam television channels have changed their approach from telecasting the negatives on Indian culture to as many positives as possible. Try to understand and study as much as possible from different television channels. Spending few mins or hrs to watch these is worthier than spending days together for reading the original books and to learning because, the cream of Indian knowledge is given through the programs.

THIS WEEK MESSAGE: Breaking the relation with anyone is very easy. Building the relation is a cumbersome work. The former may take few minutes the latter may take days or months or even years.

A LINE OF GUIDANCE: Let you become a shock absorber in every meetings. Give good guidance to others. For reaching this level you should never have a hidden agenda and should not get angry.

PAINFUL HISTORY OF INDIA: Sir. C.P. Ramaswamy Iyer was a great Divan for Travancore Maharaja, who created wonderful and famous institutions, in Travancore State. He even invited Albert Einstein to become the Vice chancellor of University of Kerala and brought a Titanium expert (Keralite) from England to start the Travancore Titanium Ltd. factory in Trivandrum. Later the so called progressives tarnished him and now he is notoriously known as a cruel ruler. All negatives of the king were put on Sir, C.P’s shoulders and he was thrown away from the State. That great patriot’s contribution as more than a dozen international level institutions remains the symbol of Trivandrum.

SCIENTIFIC SUPERSTITION: “Using and consuming the Ayurvedic drugs are good.” Says many. Remember that Using ayurvedic drugs is sometimes better than chemical based modern drugs. It does not mean that ayurvedic drugs are like food and are good. It is wrong to think that they do not have side effects. Drug is a drug so/and use carefully, if and only if needed.

A LINE ON ACHARA: While praying, eating, sleeping, chitchatting, etc never sit on the floor without a mat or cloth (a non conductor). The bio electricity get earthed from your body creating body ache, weakness, leg pain and arthritis. Even while eating on a dining table, watching TV, etc., let your legs be on a non conductor.

YOUR QUESTIONS AND MY ANSWERS: Why the sexual postures are projected in the pillars and walls of temples ?

All the spirituality/ pilgrimage /temple visit / is for the mind. Mind is resting on body. All that are present in the body are part and parcel of spirituality. How ever in big/great temples, the postures of animal and human beings are demonstrated with a precise aim. Temple is the place where your mental attention is diverted from worldly luxuries to divinity. This cannot be done within a few days or few visits. It is a continuous process as told by Maharshi Patnjali Abhyaasa vairaaghyaabhyaam tannirodha only through practice and detachment this is achieved. Through bhajans, good pictures/ odor / prasadam/ touch/ contact/ etc the attention of sensory organs can be diverted. But the attraction towards sex is not easy to divert. To make it sure that THE ATTRACTION TOWARDS SEX IS also diverted, ONLY possible method is present it in the natural form or the form the artist feel. Remember it works /worked. You can see in Mahakshetraas people do not get attracted towards these. These are only casual things for them. (There are many more explanations. I have presented only one view).

Dr.Gopalakrishnan - Thursday message - 28.05.2009

THURSDAY MESSAGE, 28ST MAY 2009 (SERIES 159) communicated from 27th May;

Chandogya Upanishad: the last two chapters of this Upanishad (7th & 8th ) describe in detail about the aatma jnaanam. The knowledge about the soul, as described through the stories in puranaas and as advise given in Itihasaas (epics). Here the relevance of learning the puranaas and Itihasaas is specifically pointed out. The role of sensory organs and functional organs in guiding the mind towards the aatmajnaanam is described. Most important part in the Upanishad is the definition and description given about mana / mind, vaak /words, sankalpa/ concept, chitta / inner core of mind, dhyaana/ meditation, jnaana / spiritual knowledge, bala /power, annam / the essence of food, jalam/ the water, thejas / glorious energy, akaasam/ether, etc . These are given in the level of a great Vedic scholar. Finally the relation among the above and the praana /brahma is also described. How ever the explanations given are through complicated languages . It is not very easy for a common man to understand. Hence one should follow the Upanishad through a standard commentary

INDIAN LITERATURE: (about Vedas)
The Vedic devathas are different from the devathas which the Hindus worship now a days. The cosmic form of universe and nature are the prime focus in all the Vedic mantras and worship. They are the symbolic or direct presentation of prapancha purusha and prakruthi devi concept / sankalpa. They include the Sun, Earth, celestial bodies, vayu/ air, light/ prakasha / sound /sabda, varuna / water, rivers and oceans, and so on. This concept arose because, human beings are also the part and parcel of nature and all those are manifestation and manipulation of nature are the divine embodiment of nature by itself.

SERIOUS INFORMATION
An unusual fraud email is spreading for cheating Hindus by a (group) Christian community who devote full time for conversion. The e mail presented as a written by a parent, describes that the parents and great parents and all family members congratulating one of the children in the family when the child started suddenly worshiping Jesus Christ and following an entirely different pathway in the same Hindu family by opting for Christianity removing the Hindu idol. As Jesus said this type of messages are spread by some Christians “ who are jackals and foxes in the sheep skin”. Those who do this fraud include right from the bishop to the fishermen from Christian community.

ANCIENT INDIAN MANAGEMENT MESSAGES:VIDUROPADESA
None can achieve anything without hard work and a specific motto. Merely sitting and weeping or crying cannot give any result. This can only create mental and physical health problems. This type of worrying can give happiness for the enemies too. Never be desperate, go on working hard, till the goal is achieved or make the work itself as the goal and the pathway of life

SCIENTIFIC & TECHNOLOGICAL HERITAGE OF INDIA
Thee are six types of thikshana loha / carbon steel. Khara theekshana loha is carbon steel which develops good cutting edge and breaks on bending. sara theekshana loha is softer iron and it has the fibrous look. The hrunnala thishna loha has hard and tough fibrous nature. Tharavatta thikshana loha has good cutting edge. Vajra thikshna loha is hard and has excellent tempering property and bluish in color. The kala thikshna loha develops hard edge after blue tempering. Says Rasaratna samucchaya and loha thanthra books. Ancient Indian knowledge of carbon steel !

WHAT I HEARD AND SAW
During my lecture tour in Nagpur, I heard the senior highly qualified Govt officials giving the messages by quoting Bhagavath Geetha and Vedas. Their explanations were so scientific and rational. It is a fact that that many highly qualified Indians including Christians and Muslims are understanding their Indian heritage and feeling a sense of pride.

THIS WEEK MESSAGE
Many Christians and Muslims are involved in writing, shooting , recording, editing, and dubbing the puranic stories or presentation (either pictorial or harikatha ). This creates an excellent response in them and also the viewers. So spread the messages through cds, vcds, websites etc to one and all. Let them get exposed to our culture and heritage. They will learn and change. Instead of protesting and shouting, let us opt for constructive pathway.

A LINE OF GUIDANCE
Give the message slowly and steadily, point by point to the listener. Give them the opportunity to think rationally, logically and scientifically. Our role is only to ‘inform every one’. Never argue or try to win over someone. Go on giving the informations about the heritage of India

PAINFUL HISTORY OF INDIA
Many wars were fought in India not for winning, wealth or land but only for satisfying the ego of the kings and family members. This type of vengeance and fight still continues in the mind of Indians . We have not learned much from the history, even when tens of thousands of people died in the battle field.

SCIENTIFIC SUPERSTITION
Many modern doctors say coconut oil has high cholesterol content. Remember cholesterol is not present in any plant product. It is present only in animal product including milk, ghee, butter etc. So take any oil including coconut you like, but keep a limit. Coconut oil will not create cholesterol problem.

YOUR QUESTIONS AND MY ANSWERS ABOUT IDOL WORSHIP
Is it correct to say only Hindus practice idol worship ? wrong ! All the religions in the world practice, directly or indirectly the idol worship………….. Do the Muslims ? What is the proof ? All the Muslims worship towards the directions of Mecca, they worship Kaaba, they worship the 32 cms diameter black stone (which was worshipped by Prophet) kept in Ka aba, they clean the Kaba with rose water and cover with costly silk. If these are not idols & symbols, then why should they do all these rituals.……. When I said prophet Mohammed worshiped a stone like Sivalinga in Ka alba few Muslims said it is wrong. What is the truth ? The truth is that 32 cms diameter (and almost equal height) cylindrical idol covered with silver worshipped and kissed by prophet is still kept in Kaaba and worshipped…….. What the Muslim scholars say about this ? Khalifas said that “ even though you are a stone, I kiss and worship you because my teacher Prophet Mohammed worshipped you, so I also do the same……. Any other examples ? Muslims throw the stones against Satan during their Hajj, the stone used against Satan is a ‘holy stone’. The symbol of Satan is also kept in the form of big stone, showing they also worshipping symbols/ idols. …… other examples? In many places the dead body /cremation spot are worshipped by Muslims community……… in some places they light lamps also as done in Hindu temples. These are all examples of idol worship by Muslim community. ………. Muslims do not worship idols in home. is it correct ? No, in their homes you can see the lines from khoran written and beautifully framed pattern and glittering electric light in front of that. As the Hindus keep the picture of gods. This is an idol…….. Do the Christians worship idols? 100 % Yes. See the idol of Jesus in Altars in the church, see them in chapels, see the idols of many saints with garlands. They are worshipped with flowers, candles and all sort of spiritual rituals………. Is the cross an idol? An idol can be a picture or a painting, or even a framed message. Like Siva lingam for Lord Siva. The Cross is a symbol/ idol of Jesus . ….Is there any section in Hindus who do not worship idols ? Sikhs do not worship idols but they consider the guru Grantha Sahib book as idol and worship that. ……… Do the followers of Buddha worship idols? Buddhism was created against idol worship, and now hundreds of idols of Lord Buddha and disciples of Buddha are worshiped……….. Who is the real non idol worshippers ? Hindus do not consider idol worship as the end, it is only a means and pathway. But for others whatever idol they worship that is the end for all. For a real yogi, in Hindu dharma Idol is not needed. Idol is only for a common man till raches higher level, as said prathima alpa buddheenaam – prathima/ idol is meant for common men. It is only a pathway to achieve higher level to reach Brahma jnaanam. But idol worship in the temples have psychological, social, spiritual, cultural and national values to contribute for the members of the society.

Beatings and humiliation by nuns and priests in Irish church...

It is now becoming more and more clear. The hidden agenda of the churches
are coming out one after another througout the world. In the late 14th or 16th
centuries, church used to kill women in the name of witch hunting, which was later
apologized by the pope itself. But more and more such reports are avaialable now.
So will the pope again apologize ?

I would like to bring the Abhaya case which happened in my own state, Kerala, India.
One hapless nun was found dead in a well in the convent one fine morning. I am not
coming to a conclusion here since the matter is with the court. But there are some reasonable
questions which church has to answer the kerala christians...
1. Why church didnt inform the police about the death at all ?
2. Why not church asking for a probe in this unusual death ? Actually an action committee
under a person called Jomon Puthenpurakkal is conductiong the case. Why not the
church ?
3. So far Abhaya's parents have accussed the priests and the nuns in the same convent and
has openly came against the church. What is the church stand on this ?
4. All the media so far accused 2 priests and 1 nun as the culprits in this case.
The CBI chargesheet went like, Abhaya was killed when she found out that the accused
nun was having sexual relation with the other 2 priests in the convent kitchen.
If convent wants the truth to come out, why they are not putting a case against the
media for malignining them ?

Holding on blind faith and relying on money and political power wont take the church
to anywhere near the truth. Only thing is more and more such abuse reports will come to light
every day...

Here are the links of the new abuse reports which was released from Ireland last week....

DR. Gopalakrishanan - Thursday message- 14.05.09

THURSDAY MESSAGE, 14TH MAY 2009 (SERIES 157)
We are continuing the discussion of Chandogya Upanishad. The second chapter of this Upanishad describes the worship of Sun as part of Vedic worship and connects the Vedas and epics as the part of the light of the Sun. It says that sun worship is done through chanting or learning the Rigveda, yajurveda, sama veda , itihasas (epics) and puranaas as each of the above is like the light of the sun. Then the explanation of the offerings towards the fire for the gods, the explanation of the gayatri Upaasana (the worship of gayatri mantra) , the brahmajnaana (knowledge about the absolute) etc., are given in the end of the third chapter. In the 4th chapter a story is given to demonstrate how the worship of the ultimate /absolute truth should be practiced with the guidance of a guru . The story of satyakaama is narrated to Maharshi Raikwa by his guru. Here when Satyakama comes to the guru, the guru asks in which gotra /clan you belong to, the students replies “ I do not know” the guru asks “go and ask your mother”. Satyakama, the student goes to his mother and the answer given by the mother was “ that your mother has been working with many masters and to whom you are born is not known, so inform the guru that you belong to lower caste and the clan/ gotra of the father is not known since, to whom you are born is not known”. This student goes and informs the guru exactly what the mother conveyed. The guru calls the student as Satyakaama ( means he who is powerfully adhered to seek the truth). Through the story the truth of attaining the brahmajnaana as done by satyakaama is explained. Finally, in this chapter, the explanations of the Yaagaagni are also given systematically.

SERIOUS INFORMATION
When the Indians started feeling self respect and proud of their heritage, now a days many countries started enforcing the restrictions on the Hindu way of worship, there.

When enquired why the newly converted (neochristians) feel deadly against Hindu worship, it is informed that every new convert has been threatened that if they worship Hindu gods their family will get ruined and the Satan will curse them. The Hindu gods are Satans and should never go to temple for worshipping, never listen to mantras, never eat prasadam of the temple and never look into the sanctum sanctorum of the Hindu temples.

ANCIENT INDIAN MANAGEMENT MESSAGES:VIDUROPADESA
Those who do not have a stabilized mind and vision and also those who are not educated, cannot become rich easily. One should not get angry without reason and should not become happy suddenly on minor issues. These are the childish qualities . Express gratitude towards those who helped us. Keep a strong bondage with the person who helped us. Never fight with the person who helped at least once in our life.

SCIENTIFIC & TECHNOLOGICAL HERITAGE OF INDIA
There are five types of kaantha loha mentioned in Rasa ratna samucchaya. These kantha lohas are the magnetic iron which demonstrates the magnetic properties in varying intensity. Bhramaka kantha loha, Chumbaka kantha loha, Karshaka kantha loha, Dravaka kantha loha and Romaka kantha loha.

WHAT I HEARD AND SAW
“We are all realizing that we are the proud inheritors of our culture and values, unfortunately the politicians made us like this and we started thinking that in India we do not have anything. Now we know that India is a great country and we will learn about our nation.” Many youths / people in Kannur district where, atheistic political approach in life was enforced for the last not less than a century said to us like this during the last week visit. More than 3200 ancient temples have been renovated during the last one year, in Kannur district alone, where, in olden days people used to say “ if one temple is destroyed that much superstition could be eradicated from the society.

THIS WEEK MESSAGE
The best method to solve many problems is not to create problems. The best method for that is deliver the message to anyone in minimum words. The best method for that is unnecessarily do not talk. Don’t get angry, do not worry too much, and do not keep over attachment with anyone/ anything.

INDIAN LITERATURE:
Rig Veda is the oldest literature of mankind. It has 25 recensions (sakhas). Only four are now available known as Saakala , Bhaashkala, Saankhyayana, Kousheethakee saakhas. The recensions have only small variations. There are 397265 letters, in 193816 words, in 10552 stanzas (hymns), in 2024 vargas, in 64 chapters, compiled as 8 ashtakas or 10 mandalas of rugveda.

A LINE OF GUIDANCE
Learn thoroughly at least one good ancient Indian book (like Upanishad/ darsana/ Arthasaastra/ or anyone of your choice) become master in that subject and try to teach others as much as possible spread the message through your email. Let each and every one of us take the responsibility of learning atleast one book from Indian heritage. ( if you can make a good translation of the book and sent to us, we shall upload the same in our website www.iish org)

PAINFUL HISTORY OF INDIA
Almost all the successful story in Indian history is the story of unity and all the painful stories are due to internal fight. Formerly the fight was between the small kingdoms, now the fight is between the politicians and political parties. In olden days and also today, the fight is only for power and wealth. We have not yet learned anything from history.

YOUR QUESTIONS AND MY ANSWERS ( About Mother Teresa)
1. Do you appreciate the mission of Mother Teresa? Definitely I worship her mission and appreciate undoubtedly……….. 2. Is she not an angel? I do not think so. She is a very good social worker devoted herself for serving human beings……….. 3. Is she divine and is she a saint? No she is not divine but her mission is divine…… 4. Prayer to Mother has cured many people . Do you believe? The doctors who treated the patients have told the patients were cured not because of the prayer but because of the medicinal effect…… 5. What attracted you to comment positive about Mother ? Her devoted service to the poorest suffering from leprosy and building a great team of people to serve the poor……… 6. Do you appreciate her means and ends of the service? I appreciate only her means but the end is negative……… 7. What do you mean by negative? She serves the people purely for converting them to Christianity. So she and her team have a hidden agenda to convert the people in the name of service…… 8. Do you have any proof for that ? yes if you go to the Kolkattta Kali temple , you can see, she and her group have grabbed major part of the Kolkkatta Kali temple land and building and they do the anti Hindu activities day and night……... 9. What is the anti Hindu activity? Many foreign missionaries come to this centre of Mother Teresa in western suits every hour and then they wear saffron clothes and go to the temple to take the video of all the negatives for making cds for distributing in the west to denigrate Hindu dharma and India. The christians/ people who visit this centre has taken the work of destroying Indian culture………. 10 Since mother Teresa has a good reputation none will expect her team will do this type of anti Hindu activities…… 11. Have you gone there to her center? Yes I have gone twice and they did not allow me to enter the premises….. 12. What did they say? The security women always keep a vigilant watch on the people who come there/ near and say no entry for Hindus, inside……….. 13. What you can see around the premises? You can see many foreigners coming there and going with video camera for taking the photos of poverty, diseases, fighting, the animal sacrifice in the temple, the dirty environment of the temple, the slum, and so on…….. 14. Did you make any attempt to discuss with them? I asked them “is not the temple land grabbed by her people ?” They said it is for a better purpose than what is happening in the temple…… 15. I said you are converting the Hindus in the cover of social service. Stop it ? They said we are bringing the light of Jesus to all Indians and we will continue to do so…….. 16. I asked If we forcefully stop what you will do ? They said the international community will not keep quite…. The government of India will not keep quite and the Christians community will not tolerate that…they said. 17. Can you compare any Indian doing this type of mission oriented activities? I request you all just to evaluate the great work and mission undertaken by Matha Amruthananda mayee world over for Hindus, Christians and Muslims. Since she is a Hindu borne , I am sure the Christian predominating Nobel Prize committee will not give her Nobel prize, as Mother Teresa got it. Still independently, impartially evaluate the mission of Mother Teresa and Matha Amruthandamayee, not only in India but world over. I request the readers to remember that we were given a wrong picture or mother Theresa ultimate mission but she is doing good work for serving the poorest.

Information: from next month onwards important questions will be answered through amrutha television channel every day, for eight minutes, seven days in a month. Send you questions in few lines without any introduction.

If you can type and send contents of the good ancient books, translated into English for uploading in the website , we shall do the needful, if they are suitable.

[Hindu Vigil] Hindu Temple Attacked in Rampurhat, West Bengal ( )

Another episode in the pseudo secular activities in india supported by the
anti national communist forces. In places where muslims and hindus co-exist,
communists use to harass the neutral hindus because they clearly know that
no one will come for the hindus help. Like pinarayi vijayan in kerala, who only oppose
sangh parivar and support Madani type militants in kerala, I really feel the below incident
also might have supported by the bengal communists. Main aim is to destabilize the
nation. One with Chinese support and other backed by Arabian cult...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear ,
You are requested to send e-mails / postal letters to protest the apathy of West Bengal government to the plight of Hindus who were attacked, their women folk molested and a Hindu temple was attacked by a Muslim mob, Rampurhat, West Bengal, India. All relevant documentation is included in the attached document. If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me at hindu.vigil@vhs-net.com or leave me a voice mail at 206-426-5363.

Thank you.

HINDU VIGIL Hindu Temple Attacked by Islamic Mob in Rampurhat West Bengal, India

RECORDED INCIDENT On the evening of February 24, 2009, the day after the Hindu festival Shivaratri, there was a cultural program in the residential temple of Shyamal Das of Kamarpatti. At that time, 6-7 Muslim youths started sexually harassing young Hindu girls attending the function. The festival committee youths attempted to stop the harassment of the minor girls, and the Muslims left the location. In just 30 minutes, 40-50 Muslims from a nearby locality appeared on the scene. The festival organizers sensing an attack quickly locked the temple gates. The attackers broke all the Hindu murthis/icons outside and destroyed the Hindu worship altar. They could not break the icons in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, due to the heavy doors. The victimized Hindu devotees became upset and started protesting. The Hindus from the neigboring areas rushed in to the spot.At that time, the police reached the location, and announced via loudspeaker that Section 144 of the Indian Penal Code had been enacted from that very moment. Ironically, The Hindus were roughened up and removed from the spot. The next day, the local Hindus took out a rally under the leadership of Subhashish Chowdhury, protesting that the local Congress party leader, syed Shiraz, aka Jimmi is facilitating the Islamist elements. ________________________________________________________________________ CASE ASSESSMENT Such incidents have been taking place in different parts of India particularly in the Muslim dominated areas. While incidents against minorities are mostly cooked up and disproportionately highlighted in the media, violence against Hindus goes unnoticed and unpunished. It is shocking to learn that law enforcing agencies avoid taking legal measures to curb such elements owing to the environment created by the votaries of vote bank politics. ________________________________________________________________________ SOURCE OF INFORMATION Posted by Hindu Samhati's International Communications TeamHindu Samhati Email Address: hindusamhati@gmail.com Website: www.hindusamhati.org , http://hindusamhati.blogspot.com/ ________________________________________________________________________ RECOMMENDED ACTIONS Write a letter to the highest authorities in central and state governments bringing the issues to their notice and demanding immediate action: 1. ORIGINAL SOURCE (Sourced on 22nd April 2009) ________________________________________________________________________ Appendix II. Guidelines for Writing Protest Letters The following are guidelines for writing letters of protest. Please note that these should not be considered as requirements. This is meant as an instrument of learning and effective capability building. The Protest Letter Checklist ___ [REQUIRED] The protest letters should be either neatly hand-written or type-written or computer-printed (black and white), signed (in blue ink), and mailed via regular postal service. ___ [OPTIONAL] Send the text of the same letter in e-mail to the recipient ___ [OPTIONAL] Send a copy of the letter to the local media (via postal or e-mail) ___ [OPTIONAL] If you run a personal blog (e.g. on blogspot.com), post the letter there. ___ [OPTIONAL] If you have myspace.com / facebook.com / twitter.com / orkut.com profiles, post the letter there. ___ [RECORD-KEEPING] Send the text of your protest letter to Hindu Vigil (via e-mail): hindu.vigil@vhs-net.com { hindu DOT vigil AT vhs DASH net DOT com } ; your letters will be archived. Framework for Writing Protest Letters Do protest letters work? Yes they do. Governments, institutions and politicians pay careful attention to letters, because they are seen as markers of public opinion. Statisticians and pollsters quite often use a mathematical formula of 1 protestor to 10 letters of protest (can be substituted by phone calls) to 10,000 concerned citizens. Meaning 10 letters of protest can substitute for 1 protestor protesting (being physically present), representing at least 10,000 persons who feel strongly about the issue at hand. Thus, your single letter of protest is statistically representing at least 10,000 Hindus. Is writing a protest letter too trivial? No. It is not. Whether you are working on minimum wages or a multi-millionaire dollar businessperson, or an awfully busy doctor or a lawyer, or homemaker trying to manage a chaotic household -- it does not take that long to write a protest letter. Hindu Vigil staff has already done your homework for you. All you have to do is to spend 10 minutes and write this letter, and make yourself heard. Format and Style Letters of protest need not be long or compare with professional writers. They should be crisp and clean. They must be genuine and the message should come from the heart. Just be yourself and do your best. You need not be an expert. Just speak your mind as a citizen on clean paper in neat print. For your letter to make an impact, all you have to do is express your sincere concern about something that troubles your conscience -- and end the letter with a strong request for action. Tell the recipient of your letter you know that many of your friends and neighbors feel likewise. Be brief. Be clear. Be done. Write to a person Letters are more likely to be read and answered if they are addressed to a name rather than to the government in general. Get the spelling of the name and the address right. Use titles It shouldn't matter, but it does. Most people happen to be vain. Use the appropriate salutation. Present and former prime ministers are addressed as "The Right Honorable." Premiers and cabinet ministers are "Honorable." Heads of States, such as presidents, are "Your Excellency." Kings, Queens and other monarchs are "Your Majesty." Judges are "Your Honor." Be polite Always be respectful. Maintain the high moral ground. Be brief A short letter is far more effective than a long one. Limit your message to 2-3 paeagraphs, or one that fits about 3/4th of a normal page. Get to the point. Be personal Use personal examples that support your case. Make references to your background, interests, training or occupation. Cite facts Briefly give the background facts. Enclose relevant URLs off the Internet or send scanned newspaper clippings. Be specific about your concern. Mention victims of persecution or abuse by name if possible. Separate facts from opinion. Write neatly Handwritten letters do make a bigger impact. Printed letters are second best. Don't generalize, be specific Write about one message at a time. Spend some brief quality time thinking about just what the kernel of your message ought to be. Request action This is extremely important. Underline what you want the person, the government or the institution to do. Always, always get the recipient of your letter to do something. Ask them when you can expect a change. State clearly you intend to follow up. Close properly Close your letter with polite words. Thank the person for the things you know he or she will do right. Be sure to include your mailing address. Categories of Protest Letters There are two categories of letters that are of interest to HV. a. A letter to an oppressive or unsympathetic government A government may cloak itself in democratic terms and yet be viciously destructive to the interests of the citizens. A letter to an oppressive government or an abusive government official should make it clear that many people are clearly unhappy. b. A letter to an institution Human rights institutions are set up around the world. Some do their work better than others. Human rights organizations are specifically biased against Hindus and Hindu Dharma (due to historical factors, and going into those is out of the scope of this document). Former communists and socialists have reinvented themselves as champions of human rights during the post-Soviet phase, and these are least expected to give an ear to human rights violations against Hindus. For the purposes of Hindu Vigil you may accept this at face value. HR organisations are concerned about the image they present. Their funding depends on their image. If its officials are seen as rubber stamping nefarious forces within oppressive governments, they cannot be effective and serve the people properly. They know that. So do you. You should appeal to HR institutions or organization in the name of principles they profess to uphold. Some Final Considerations If you do not receive a reply within a reasonable time, send a polite query. Although state officials fail to acknowledge most of the appeals that are written to them, don't be discouraged. Repeated messages get noticed, processed and filed. Every letter, whether acknowledged or not, makes an impact. It tells the offenders that Hindus are watching their actions and recording them. When you do receive a reply, acknowledge it immediately as a matter of courtesy.

THIS WEEK MESSAGE: India was not the country of ahimsa. India was the country of himsa. But the himsa was shown only to those who did himsa towards us ( who fought with us). The word himsa is not the coward attitude.

Before criticizing others walk in his shoes for 100 steps and get the feeling of his conditions and then criticize him. Use words sparingly for negative purposes, if at all you have to use. Get the experience of keeping silence when others criticize us .

THREE SERIOUS INFORMATION (Tarnishing Indians and India by a group of Christians) :
@ Some Christians go to Australia in groups in business/visit visa and part of them hide in the selected houses as planned others report to the police that “part of the group is missing”. After few days they surrender and inform police “ The HINDUS in India torture us and we want to be refugees in Australia ”. They talk only in Malayalam to show they are uneducated. The complaint gets translated into English by a Kerala Christian for preparing the FIR and the refugee status is given for working . HERE THE HINDUS AND MOTHER INDIA ARE TARNISHED FOR GETTING THE REFUGEE STATUS. Kindly inform this to Australian embassy and to all concerned including the church authorities, even though these are done with the support of churches. Some people do this for tarnishing India and let the Christians who oppose such heinous activities also come forward to stop the treachery.

@ You may remember when Gujarat was moved with earthquake, the US government allotted 100 million dollars immediately. Unfortunately the secretary of all India Christian association persuaded the white house authorities to stop the support to Gujarath. The American authorities did not give the support and when Indian leaders enquired about it they got the reply from the white house officials “ Your own people (Kerala Christian leaders) came here and got it stopped by saying that the fund will be used for Hindus”

@ Mr. Mathew ( from Kerala with American citizenship) is the chief editor and owner of the weekly English newspaper in Houston, US. In his newspaper he writes continuously that “in India the Christian priests are buried alive, the nuns are raped every day, the churches are burned” and so on. I met Mr. Mathew in Houston and asked “ is there a bit of truth in these reports.” He said “this type of reporting is needed for us (Indian Christian community) to stay together” for tarnishing India without any shame . From this news paper the Americans take the Indian news like this and publish in their newspapers.

LET ALL THE HINDUS, CHRISTIANS ( those who are not participating in the heinous activities against their own mother culture and motherland) AND MUSLIMS REACT AND ACT AGAINST SUCH HENOUS ACTIVITITES GOING ON THROUGH OUT THE WORLD. THIS INFORMATION IS NOT AGAINST ANY RELIGION.

YOUR QUESTIONS AND MY ANSWERS ( About caste systems): Can only Brahmins do the rituals? No, in Kerala there are hundreds of temples and lakhs of houses where non Brahmins perform the rituals……………. What about consecration of temples ? that is also like that. Non Brahmins too perform consecration. Remember Matha Amruthananda Mayee commonly known as Amma (from fishermen family and also a woman) has consecrated more than 30 temples…………… Can non Brahmins become Brahmins ? There are many places where this conversion is encouraged and done………….. Why then punyaaha karma performed when low caste enters into the temples ? Your question is a serious one, still in very few temples in remote part of India this is practiced as you know in many mosques different types of Muslims are not permitted to enter and in many churches Christians from low caste Hindus is also not allowed to worship together by sitting with others and their burials are separate, not allowed with orthodox Christians This type of problems are never justified in any religion. Particularly Hindus should NEVER practice like this because, specifically the Vedas tell that I am divine in nature ( aham brahmaasmi) and you are also divine ( thathwam asi)……………… Can a non Brahmin read Vedas? Not only they can read but also perform poojas as many thanthries are now coming up from Eezhava community in Kerala which is a Backward Community (OBC) Let there is more and more people from that level…….. Can we justify the untouchability? It can neither be justified nor be taken casually………. How to stop this untouchability? Educating and by law for all those who are concerned. To a great extent this could be achieved in Kerala.

(special question and the answers for different types of truth seekers. The same answer may not be sufficient to the questions asked for tarnishing and denigrating Sanaathana dharma and indians.)
You claim that India is a great country and Indians could see divinity in all living and non living beings. Even with these claims in many places in India the untouchability is practiced . What is your answer?

@ Answer for general Hindus: It is sad that even after 61 years of independence we could not remove this from the society. Let us all work together like, Satya Sai Baba, Sri Ravisankar, Matha Amruthananda Mayee, Chinmaya Mission and many Hindu non caste based organizations take this seriously and work for unity and remove untouchability.

@ Answer for communists : Even you have ruled Bengal for the last 35 years you could not stop the horrible animal sacrifice in Kolkotta Kali temple. You have never done anything for removing untouchability in Bengal. In your party too, greatest Kerala leader EMS and the tops in the party, practice the caste system literally. First solve that problem and then ask this question. Atleast eradicate untouchability in your party

@ Answer for Indian Christians: In your religion the protestants, Catholics, pentcosts, and different groups kill each other. Blood shed by Christianity is the history of the world. Remember Hindus never killed in the name of religion or caste. Whenever you get time kindly read how many Hindu temples were smashed and how many lakhs of your Hindu brothers were killed when Hindus resisted this conversion in their own motherland , by St. Xavier Francis of Goa, whom you worship as SAINT who is a Portuguese missionary and mercenary who is nothing les than a devil for anyone who knows him .

Answer for the Muslims: Dear friend in almost all the 68 Muslim countries no other religion is allowed, still the Muslim terrorists kill Muslims in these countries in the name of religion . You fight each other in the name of shia, sunni, ahamadeeya, mujaahideen, and so on, even though you have only one Allah, One khoran, One Mecca, One prophet……. First solve that problem and then ask this question.

Answer for Americans, Europeans and Australians: dear friends how many millions of red Indians and aboriginals have you killed in the name of religion, how many poor blacks you enslaved for cleaning your toilet, how many poor fellows you tortured in the name of religion. How many children your Christian priests molested, how many ladies you raped, how many people you looted as you hunt animals for your entertainments and enjoyments and for increasing the number of your people in that region. You are the people who will bear the curse of the god for killing millions of poor, slaves, aboriginals, and wiping out them from the surface of the globe earth and NOW YOU SPEAK ABOUT HUMAN RIGHTS AND UNTOUCHABILITY. You do not have the authority to talk anything like that.

(These type of answers should be prepared for each group when they denigrate Indian culture and sanathana dharma. Never try to argue and win but these discussions are for educating and not for harassing/ teasing. Just for informing them in strong words and with courage. Inform them that solutions are needed and problems are there everywhere)
